We are Dorothy & Tony Adkins (that's our youngest, Grayson!). We're first-generation farmers & butcher shop owners! How'd that happen?
First, with a farm. We're naturally curious people who care about where our food comes from and the community we live in. We founded Twin Oaks Heritage Farm in the summer of 2012. Then, with pigs! We did the research and dove right in, raising certified organic, non-gmo, animal welfare approved pigs, and well called our product Grayson's Premium Pork.
Next, eggs! We soon added chickens for eggs, and as we expanded our reach and spoke to people in Dunn, we realized that the town needed something it would have had decades ago: a local butcher shop.
And then, the store. Of course, we stayed true to our roots and what matters to us, and with that aim, we opened The Organic Butcher Shop in Downtown Dunn in May of 2017. We can't wait to see you in our store - or shopping online!
